“Usually, construction companies can safely assume that the architect’s 3D model is not 100% correct. It’s normal that some planning errors only become apparent on the construction site or better ways to solve certain problems come to light. It’s also common that construction companies accidentally deviate from the plan and as a result, the model is no longer correct. So, how do we solve this problem? In most cases, the architect has to deliver as-built drawings anyway, which means that the model must be updated to reflect the current situation on the construction site. All this requires is good communication between the construction company and the architect so that the model can be adjusted. The result is a win-win situation. The construction company has the right plans and the corresponding model. They can then use Sitelife to record everything directly in the model or use the model to determine the necessary quantities of material. Tasks can be assigned to individual components, resulting in a clear allocation of tasks, and everyone can concentrate on what they do best: building.”
