Smart construction site management at Waizenauer
For the construction of the Intersport distribution center, the construction professional WAIZENAUER BAUUNTERNEHMEN GMBH & CO KG relies on digital construction tracking from CONTAKT and b.i.m.m.. With this, the company succeeds in taking the next step on the way to integrating useful technologies directly at the construction site.

Project:
Intersport Distribution Warehouse

Construction Site:
Wels

Project length:
11/2022 – 11/2023
In use: The digital construction logbook
During the construction of the distribution center, a digital construction logbook was used for the first time. From the construction site crew to material planning and photo documentation, everything is recorded digitally and is thus available on the servers in real time. The documentation was done directly on the 2D construction plan. Everyday construction work is stressful, which is why Waizenauer places particular importance on providing the construction site team with a simple and intuitive tool to work with. This keeps the focus on the essentials: Building.
Sitelife is the first construction software that is so close to the real construction world that Jochen, a 55-year-old and experienced foreman, was able to integrate it immediately into his daily work. Data entry in the digital construction diary is not an additional workload, but it brings significantly more benefits. Construction day and director’s reports are optimally supported by the automatic weather entries, and the quick documentation of services or special incidents with pictures allows him to keep his head clear for his construction site crew. If the documentation is required for the building owner, the complete construction documentation is available as a PDF with one click.
“For me, the photo documentation and the automatic weather entries are the most practical things about Sitelife. I do it right on the construction site and save myself from having to make entries in the evening.”
“With clean tracking, the actual status is mapped to the day, and by combining construction schedules and models, material requirements for the days can also be planned in the future.”
The construction manager in charge also benefits from the use of the digital construction logbook. How? With the posted working times, target/actual comparisons can be made quickly in order to keep a better eye on the progress of the project. The monthly overview of the work performed on site, which is available at the push of a button, also makes work much easier for the foreman and site manager. In addition, the collaboration with the local construction supervision was streamlined in this construction project by means of a digital approval process. Digital approval is now more traceable and brings more clarity and transparency to the construction project.
The construction site team agrees: Sitelife will be used again for the next construction project and not only with the digital construction logbook. The application possibilities of the Sitelife construction site software go far beyond digital construction documentation. From construction time planning to online analysis, the software can be used exactly where valuable time can be saved in everyday construction site work.
